Market now and move by Christmas, says Ashley Adams

25 September 2018

There's still time for committed sellers

With autumn upon us and September well underway, local estate agency Ashley Adams is urging homeowners to act quickly and begin marketing their properties now for their chance to be in a new home by Christmas.  Traditionally, Ashley Adams sees a rise in activity at this time of year, with many committed buyers returning to the market after the summer holidays keen to purchase before the end of the year.  The branch is advising any customers thinking of selling to act now and take advantage of this increased demand.

“Now is an ideal time to put your property on the market and is generally regarded as one of the most opportune periods of the year,” says David Plumtree, Connells Group Estate Agency Chief Executive.  “We find that with the summer and school holidays finished, buyers have a greater amount of free time for viewing and a renewed interest in the market.  This year has proved no different, in fact, our national data shows there are currently 10 people per every house that comes on to the market*.  Demand is such that it’s outweighing our current supply, so we’re calling for more properties and sellers to make the most of what is still a very buoyant housing market.”

“For committed sellers there is still time to take advantage of this heightened activity, and by doing so, they could be settled in their new home ready to enjoy the festive period,” continues David. “By working proactively through these seasonal peaks we aim to achieve a quick, stress-free sale at the best possible price for our customers.  We encourage all those thinking of moving to get in touch to see how we can help.”
