Castle Bromwich Junior School celebrated their annual Summer Fayre on Friday 27th June 2008.
Despite Mother Nature failing to play her part in the annual fundraising, hundreds of pupils, parents, teachers and visitors put on their raincoats and put up their umbrellas to ensure the calendar highlight was a winner. Throughout the afternoon guests were treated to a wealth of fun events, activities and plenty of refreshments too.
Ian Backhouse, Head Teacher, commented "I would like to thank everyone who failed to let the weather dampen their spirits and who made the Summer Fayre yet another huge success. Thank you particularly to the PTA for their unbounded energy and hard work, the teachers, the many parents and to the businesses that have generously supported us. We could not have achieved such a successful result without the continued support of Burchell Edwards. They have become a valuable help to the school, the cause and the pupils. Thank you so much."
The Marketing Director of Burchell Edwards, Dawn Oakley, who attended the event said: "We are proud to be part of local community events and have a rolling programme of investment in schools and local projects. We have worked very closely with Castle Bromwich Junior School for a number of years now and will continue to build on our relationship."
