Burchell Edwards support Fashion Show & Rock Festival at school

Teachers and pupils take to the stage...

Alderbrook School hosted a Fashion Show and Rock Festival at Malley Hall on Thursday 17th July along with Compare and teacher Mr. Steve Eagles a.k.a ‘Russell Bland', in order to raise money for the 13 pupils given an exciting opportunity to lead a month long expedition to the countries of Guatemala and Belize.

Teachers and pupils braved the catwalk and modelled a selection of frocks, creations and jewellery. The event was organised by Vinita Bansal along with the support of Burchell Edwards, Notcutts, Sainsbury's and Barnados.

Dawn Oakley, Marketing Director for Burchell Edwards who judged the parade said:

"We are proud to be part of a continuing campaign of support for local community events. What could be more fitting than to help young people raise money for such a worthwhile expedition."

Neil Beaumont, Assistant Headteacher, commented "The outstanding success of the evening was a reflection of the dedication of the teachers involved and the aspirations of the pupils. Both are to be congratulated. We could not have achieved such a successful result without the continued support of Burchell Edwards. They have become a valuable help to the school, the cause and the pupils involved. Thank you so much. We also thank Sainsbury's, Barnados and Notcutts Garden Centre for their wholehearted support."
