Alderbrook School hosted an Evening with Peter Seabrook, The Sun's Gardening Editor at Notcutts Garden Centre on 5th March in order to raise money for the 17 pupils given an exciting opportunity to lead a month long expedition to the countries of Guatemala, Belize and Mexico.
Burchell Edwards Estate Agents were proud supporters of the event. The Marketing Director of Burchell Edwards, Dawn Oakley, who attended the event said: "We are proud to be part of a continuing campaign of support for local community events. What could be more fitting than to help young people raise money for such a worthwhile expedition."
Peter Seabrook commented, "It is good to see local businesses supporting school initiatives. We really rely on companies like Notcutts and Burchell Edwards to promote these events."
Neil Beaumont, Assistant Headteacher, commented "The evening would not have been possible without the support of Peter Seabrook, the aspirations of the pupils and the dedication of the parents involved. It was an outstanding success and all are to be congratulated. We could not have achieved such a successful result without the continued support of Notcutts and Burchell Edwards. They have both become a valuable help to the school, the cause and the pupils involved. Thank you so much."
